Update
I have my game started. So far what I can tell you is that I have a ship on the screen using 3D models and there is no perspective to the 3Dness of the game to add that flat, old, and retro arcade style feal to the game.
So this is the list of progresss
- Player 1 and Player 2 can move there ships
- Both players can fire up to 500 bullets on the screen at once
- You have 3 different shots that you can do (Single/ Triple/ 5 Shot spreads)
- There is a player 1 and player 1 status hud that is visible wiht Health and Shield bars (Not working yet thought)
- The game so far runs at any resolution on the screen that Is not a wide screen aspect ratio. (If you do wide screen it screws around with the location system)
- It supports 1 game pad at the moment
Sys req so far as of what I can see
- You will need a single or dual core CPU AMD/INTEL 1.5GHZ
- 1 GB Ram XP/ 2 GB Vista - 7
- HD Unknow as that game is not complete
- DirectX 9 (Latest)
- .NET framwork 4.x
- Sound N/A
- Internet or Network for dual computer coop play

Note: all the system req are a guess because of systems so far that I have tested my test app on they will change as time passes and the game is progressed.

I want to develope a game
For a long time I have wanted to make games and I learned how to program in HS back in 1998. I learned in BASICA - QUICK BASIC then moved to Visual Studios 6 and learned VB. From there I learned how to do many things now I really want a challenge.
For the past 10 years I have been fooling around with a 3D engine called Truevision3D and now I really want to use it to make a game. Don’t know if it will become a commercial or free game. I do know if I want to make money it will cost me $150 or if I want to make more than that I will have to pay $500. But if I make a game and it comes out good as a demo then yeah ill put up the funds to buy the commercial rights to the engine.
Now that the intro is out of the way.
